The Bowkaddy bow rack
was originally designed to be bolted to a wooden box liner. In fact, a
plywood box liner remains the simplest and most variable mounting surface
for a pickup truck.
Plastic
box liners are also very popular due to their cost, ease of
installation and rugged functionality. Bowkaddy
can be fastened directly to most plastic box liners provided it can be
mounted in a spot which provides adequate rigidity. In cases
where the plastic sidewall is too flimsy, it may be necessary to use Kaddy Bracket Pickup.
This
bracket greatly increases the mounting options in pickups without a
wooden or plastic box liner. Knowing that most people are
reluctant to drill into the sidewall of their pickup box, this device
was designed to provide a stable mounting surface for Bowkaddy
with only two holes drilled into the box rail. The bottom is secured
with industrial strength Velcro. Once in position, Bowkaddy
is easily attached to the anodized aluminum bracket.
Much thought went into the
design of this bracket to make it compatible with most full size
pickups and several smaller pickups. The slide bar is slotted
for maximum adjustment and the bend angle can be slightly modified
after market to match the geometry of your particular truck.
